House of Mountain are barely 18 months old but they have already played over 70 live shows to surprised and appreciative audiences. Essentially a four piece rock band House of Mountain draw influences from every aspect of rock music from the mid 60's through to now with a staunch focus on groove, harmony, sexuality and psychedelia. With no immediate focus on recording an album the lads are taking a grass roots approach to building a following with virtually no official content available online. "While we mature and establish how we really want to connect with our audience the focus is on relationship, personal growth and creative development." Their approach seems to be working with a live video performance being synced on TV3's Nightline Weather upon their recent return from Manila in the Philippines. The band were flown over for an all expenses paid, 8 day showcase and documentary in September of 2012 thanks to the backing and interest of some international industry heavyweights. House of Mountain are going places, literally.
